About the position

What Will You Do?

  • You monitor the performance and costs of assets/installations and analyse the root causes of deviations together with technicians and production colleagues to identify and implement improvements. You also support the Maintenance Manager in preparing the budget and planning activities, with the aim of continuously improving the performance of the installations.
  • You develop and improve maintenance concepts and implement them in the IT maintenance management system, ensuring an effective maintenance programme that meets the site's required performance and cost levels.
  • You establish the list of required spare parts based on the maintenance concept. You then determine the appropriate sourcing strategy, assess the criticality of spare parts for the operation of assets/installations, and define the expected delivery lead times.
  • You provide support for investment projects, the outsourcing strategy, and the identification and acquisition of the skills required to carry out maintenance activities, ensuring that the maintenance concept and related objectives can be successfully implemented.
  • You are the technical point of contact for modifications and configuration changes to installations. You assess the impact of modifications, support the decision-making process, and monitor the execution of modifications and related implementation actions to ensure that changes are carried out in a controlled manner.
  • You continuously keep up to date with developments in the field of continuous improvement, ensuring that your work is always based on current knowledge and best practices.

Who Are You?

  • You hold an engineering degree or have at least 3 years of equivalent experience, preferably within the food industry, with experience in reliability, maintenance and continuous improvement of equipment and installations.
  • You have experience with ERP systems and AutoCAD.
  • You have a strong knowledge of commonly used quality systems within the food industry.
  • You have knowledge of electricity and automation.
  • You have successfully managed projects involving the optimisation and improvement of equipment maintenance and reliability plans.
  • You communicate confidently in English and French; knowledge of Dutch is an asset.
  • You have an analytical and critical mindset. You are proactive, organised and pragmatic, and you are able to work independently.
  • You are eager to learn, develop your career and make an impact.
