    With this policy we try to inform you in a transparent manner. We advise you to read this policy carefully. You can consult this policy at any time under the heading 'Privacy Policy' on our website.

2. Who is responsible for processing your data via the website?

We (What's Cooking?). We are the so-called 'data controller' to use a difficult word. This means that we determine the purpose and means of processing and guarantee the lawful and correct processing of your data.

3. What data do we process from you and how?

 

  1. What's Cooking? processes the following data: 

    • personal identification data: name, first name, address, telephone number, e-mail address; i.e. the data you communicate via the contact form

    • company data: company name, registered office and company number; 

    • electronic identification and localisation data when you visit our website: device data, browser, operating system, IP addresses, cookies, log file data, external websites that referred you, pages visited by you on the website (and date and time);

4. Why and on what basis do we process your data?

  1. What's Cooking? processes your personal data for:  

    • Customer management:

      We process your personal data to get in touch with you, process any queries you may have and provide you with the necessary information about our products (fine meats, prepared meals or related products), our services, promotions, discounts, our website or other information related to our activities. 

      The processing of your details for these purposes is based on the legitimate interests of What's Cooking? insofar as these outweigh your (privacy) rights or interests. 

      If you do not provide certain data, such as your identification details, we may not be able to contact you (again), provide information or provide services to you. 

    • Direct marketing

      Your data may be used for direct marketing. This is sending you information via our newsletter or other means about our products and services or other information that could be interesting or useful to you.  

      If you are a customer of ours, this may be on the basis of our legitimate interests to do business. If you are not a customer of ours, we require your prior consent (e.g. by registering via our website). Your consent is free and can be withdrawn at any time. 

    • Providing optimal operation of our website: 

      When you visit or consult the website, we may process certain electronic data, such as cookies and IP address (see article 3 above). Cookies facilitate interaction between you as a visitor and our website and are used with a view to improving the user experience and for collecting statistics among visitors to our website. 5. Who else receives or processes your data (besides What's Cooking?)?

In the first place, your data are also processed by our partners, service providers or suppliers with whom we cooperate in the context of the website, e.g. our web administrator(s), hosting provider(s) and/or IT partners who only process your data in the context of your visit to and use of the website. 

  2. Finally, other companies may also process your data in the context of our activities, e.g. our accountants, auditors, insurance brokers, legal advisers or other service providers.

  3. We are not responsible for the processing of your data by third parties who do not do so on behalf of What's Cooking?, but are responsible for this themselves. 

  4. What's Cooking? may be obliged to provide or process your data on the grounds of a legal obligation and/or in response to a request to that effect by supervisory authorities or government bodies.

6. How long do we keep your details?

We will not retain your data for longer than necessary for the purposes described above in Article 4, unless special legal provisions apply to its retention or processing. In any case, the principle that we do not retain your data longer than necessary always applies here.

7. What are your rights?

  1. You have the right to be informed about the processing of your data. This is communicated to you via this privacy policy. You can also request us to provide additional information at any time. 

  2. You have the right to request for: 

    • Inspection of your personal data; 

    • To this end, you can obtain one copy of the requested information free of charge. If you request additional copies, we may charge you a reasonable fee as an administrative cost. 

    • Correction of your personal data (if necessary); 

    • Deletion of your personal data if: 

      • the processing of that data is no longer necessary for the purpose(s) for which it was processed by us; 

      • you have withdrawn a previously given consent;  

      • you object to processing by us;  

      • the personal data would have been unlawfully processed by us;  

      • his is necessary to comply with a legal obligation; or  

      • the personal data would have been processed in connection with an offer of online services to children (if applicable). 

    • Restriction of processing of your personal data. 

      You have the right to obtain a restriction of processing if you: 

      • dispute the accuracy of the data we hold;  

      • the processing is unlawful and you oppose the erasure of the personal data and request the restriction of its use instead;  

      • we no longer need these data while you still need these data for the establishment, exercise or substantiation of a legal claim; or 

      • pending an answer to the question whether What's Cooking?'s legitimate grounds outweigh those of you or your (privacy) rights if you have objected to the processing on the grounds of our legitimate interest.  

  3. You have the right to object to the processing of your data. 

    You will be able to object to the processing of your data for direct marketing at any time and free of charge. This can be done simply by letting us know via our web form and/or, if applicable, by unsubscribing on our website. This can also be done via the mailings themselves (the possibility to unsubscribe is always provided at the bottom). You will then no longer receive newsletters from us.  

  4. You have the right to transfer your data (to another controller). This is only possible if the processing by us is based on your consent or if the processing is performed via automated procedures.   

  5. If the processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time

In the event of a complaint, you can also always contact What's Cooking? yourself via our web form or sending an email to info@whatscooking.group. 

  7. The exercise of your rights as set out above is always subject to the requirements and conditions as stipulated in the applicable legislation (such as the General Data Protection Regulation (the so-called 'GDPR')). 

  8. To exercise your rights, you can simply send a request to What's Cooking? via our web form developed for privacy requests. In doing so, however, you must provide adequate identification. If we have reasons to doubt your identity, we may ask you for additional information necessary to confirm your identity. We will usually request a copy of your identity card to verify who is effectively making the request.
